The welcome discussion has finished. Don has started his talk on Organizing Your Collection
The recordings from the first couple of talks are now posted. Get to the recordings link from the Live Presentations page.
Also, we just added a new Poster Paper on Italian bookmarks from 1922- 1943. Written by Alessandro Merseburger. It's beautiful!
Lauren is currently giving her talk on storing and displaying your bookmark collection
The recording from Lauren's presentation and the recording from Deanna's presentation are available at the Recorded Presentations page.
Right now, Jen is presenting on stitching bookmarks
We just finished our first session, and it has been fantastic! I'll have the latest recordings linked shortly. Feel free to stop by & chat at the Live Presentation space. Remember that the second session will start in a couple of hours, and we have some new talks as well as some repeat talks coming up.
There are a couple of changes to the schedule. Lauren will be moving her eBay talk from 6:00 pm PST to the open session at 9:00 pm. She will also be adding a 3rd talk about storage to Session III, filling in the open slot at 3:00 am PST.
The new open slot at Session II will be a continuation of whatever I end up blathering about ...
Whew, sorry about the delay since the last post!
Okay, a few problems during Session II. We had an open session, but luckily folks were willing to have an open discussion.
Also, Lauren's images were lost for her eBay presentation. She was a trooper and went ahead anyway. We'll see if we can recover something for our records, later.
Thanks for everyone's suggestions and support. I'm making corrections where I can!
You guys are doing a fantastic job!
this is one great convention! too much to take in at once - how long will the galleries and papers be available after the end of the convention?
Well, we just ended the official convention! I want to thank you all for your support and kind words. The resources will be up for at least a month, and most will be available for the next year. Much of it will only be available to registered attendees, although I'll be working with content providers to provide material that can be made public.
However, this is not the last you'll hear from us. We'll be sending out some follow up information, looking for feedback, and mailing out bookmarks! So, stay in touch. The forums will remain open and we want to keep getting feedback, ideas, and conversation!
And there are plans for the 2011 conference!
Thank you, Alan and Lauren and all who made this possible -- it was fantastic!
My only negative thought is, "Do we really have to wait a whole year for another one?"
The 2010 Bookmark Collectors Virtual Convention is now OPEN!
